Sign Making & Printing Materials

Gregory, Inc. offers a variety of high-quality application, masking and adhesive tapes for the precise applications of custom graphics.

Types of Application Tapes

Two Grades of paper are used when manufacturing application tapes; a Standard Weight paper and a Heavy Weight Paper. The one key difference between the two types of paper used in application tape is the thickness.

Standard Weight Paper

Standard weight application tapes usually have a range of thickness between 3.5 mil and 4.5 mil. These application tapes were developed to be used as your everyday general use tape. The paper thickness – when combined with an appropriate adhesive – will perform well for many general sign projects.

Heavy Weight Paper

Heavy weight application tapes usually have a range of thickness between 5.0 mil and 6.0 mil. These application tapes were developed to use on large panel digitally printed graphics. They tend to hold together well and remove in one piece. The paper thickness – when combined with an appropriate adhesive – will perform well for many large sign projects.
